Cooking Time : 19 min.
Serves 4.
Ingredients
1 teacup uncooked Basmati rice 275 grams cauliflower, cut into big pieces 175 grams green peas 225 grams small potatoes (whole) 2 sticks cinnamon 2 cloves 2 cardamoms 2 bay leaves 2 onions chopped 4 tablespoons ghee salt to taste
To be ground into a paste
1 big bunch fresh coriander 6 green chillies 25 mm. piece ginger 10 cloves garlic
Method
1. Put the ghee in a glass bowl and microwave on HIGH for about 30 seconds.
2. Add the onion and microwave on HIGH for 1 1/2 minutes, stirring once in-between after 30 seconds.
3. Add the paste and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute, stirring once in-between after 30 seconds.
4. Add the cinnamom, cloves, cardamom and bay leaves and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute.
5. Add the rice, vegetables, salt and 2 teacups of water.
6. Cover and microwave on HIGH for about 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the vegetables are cooked.
Tips
Serve with kadhi or curds.
