To Dream of a Better Day

Falling tears come of rising fears,
Closed palms motion for a desired calm.
Sun sets to comfort the resting dead,
And from above falls rain in hopes to wash away the pain.

A stoned well over floods due to mass wishes made,
Our stars disappear, no longer staying out late.
The moon alone glows to give little light where needed,
Then we fall on knees to God, praying joy in our grounds be seeded.

The wind blows harshly at first then slows when our eyes water,
Sounds of hurt souls leak through the air speaking of how life gets harder.
Winged beings observing the hurt that shows,
Moans flow dreadfully beneath a lonely moon that barely glows.

“Our troubles in the end will validate the struggles that we faced,
When our time comes, in the end upon a beautiful land we will be placed.
We must not give in, for a light at the end will assure calm to our storm,
And over all in the end, truth will prevail, those who have done us harm will surely burn.

I don’t want to break any hearts,
I don’t want to make anyone cry.
I don’t want to hurt anyone
Inside I will surely die.
