1. California State University – Long Beach



Long Beach, California

The CSU Long Beach campus sits on a hilltop near the Pacific and is filled with 3,200 flowering peach trees given to the university by Long Beach residents. Warner Pacific College is a small, urban liberal arts school that provides students the perfect place to challenge themselves and try new things. La Verne, California

The University of La Verne is one of the more highly ranked schools on this list, and for good reason. Although Concordia is a private, Christian institution, it is open to students of any faith who are looking for a traditional liberal arts education.
