A Friend

A friend is just not a person,
A friend is just not a companion,
A friend is more than what we know
A friend is one who knows us more
A friend is a sailor
who helps us reach the shore.
A friend is like the lighthouse
Clearing ways for us in dark.
A friend is one who doesn't hesitate to give
With no anticipation for returns.
A friend is one who makes you smile
And quietly wipes your tears.
A friend has a sea-depth heart
The deeper you go, more you find,
A friend cannot be possessed
He is owned , only by heart.
Indeed, a friend is not just a person
He is more than what words could express
He seems to look so ordinary,
But he is a treasure,rare and precious.
