Australian jewellery designer Ann Middleton has created one of the most expensive swimsuits using over 220 diamonds and Australian South Sea pearls.

You could well feed a small country at the price of this single swimsuit.

Modelled here by Samantha Harris, the garment has 222 diamonds and Australian South Sea peals embedded in it and costs about AUD 1 million.

Diamonds International Award Winner and jewellery designer to the stars Ann Middleton and leading Australian swimwear label Sunseeker have come together to create this swimsuit that will make its runway debut at the inaugural Gold Coast Swim Fashion Festival at the end of November.

The 222 brilliant cut diamonds range in size from 4.05 carats down to 15 points with a total weight of 133 carats.

Model Samantha Harris will show the piece at the Sunseeker's show at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort on Australia's Gold Coast on November 28.

"When I saw the swimsuit design, I knew I wanted to create a seemingly simple, perfect, beautiful garment that reflects the brilliant lights of Australia," Ann Middleton said adding, "Hundreds of hours went into creating the swimsuit and we used as many Australian gems and pearls as possible."

Ann Middleton counts Bill Clinton, Olivia Newton-John and Ian Thorpe among others as her clients and has created designs for heads of state, royalty and celebrities.

The swimsuit that costs AUD 1 million roughly translates to INR 5.85 crore.

With that sort of money you can purchase at least two standard 1BHK apartments in the most expensive areas of Mumbai AND have some money to spare.
